Jose Villanueva founded his company in 1975 in the city of Valencia in Spain.
From the very beginning, Jose Villanueva already had extensive experience in fashion. He was specialized in producing small accessories made of rigid materials such as turtle shell that used to create fine hair ornaments.
One day one of the most famous Spanish boutique ordered a collection of clutch bags. This collection was a great success. From that moment Villanueva Carey is devoted to the production of these valuable accessories.
Today Villanueva Carey is run by the founder's sons, Joaquin and Jose Luis. Villanueva Carey creates small clutch bags in geometric shapes. Many models are decorated with beads, crystals, the skin of reptiles, printed fabrics and other quality materials.
One of the most successful products are the bags in metacryle which is universally known as the substitute from turtle shell. This material is available in different variants such as mother of pearl, wood and indingo. A special patented technology allows to acquire irregular shapes that give three-dimensional effects and optical illusions.
